It is said that there are 3 ways to enjoy a journey: prepare it, live it and then remember it. Immersed in this third part, today we want to share with you what it meant for SingularBrain to attend #MWC24.

What is the Mobile World Congress?

First of all, and very briefly, we would like to put into context for all those who do not know very well what this macro event is. Focused on the mobile phone and connectivity industry, Mobile World Congress is the most influential international event that brings together the “big names” in digital technology. The most important brands and manufacturers in the sector present their latest innovations, make strategic agreements and determine the direction of the industry and the role of their company. And let’s not forget that international governments are also present. Networking at its best. (More info)

The #MWC24 in figures

More than 100,000 attendees and 2,700 exhibitors (including SingularBrain) exceeded the expectations of the organisation itself. The presence of more than 200 countries and the participation of around 1,100 speakers brought us closer to the future of connectivity, was a space for debate on artificial intelligence and virtual and augmented reality, and of course a stage for the presentation of all kinds of technological advances and software.

Here are just a few examples:

Ameca, an android that follows your gaze and with whom you can have a dialogue… They say it is the most human robot to date.

The Helix flying car was undoubtedly one of the stars of the Mobile… This prototype, which already has a certificate of airworthiness, may be flying over a US city in 2025.

We continue with flying cars… in this case a hybrid between a helicopter and a drone designed to promote urban mobility. Some lucky people were lucky enough to “ride” in this flying taxi.

How has SingularBrain participated in Mobile?

First of all, thanks to ASTUREX (Society for Foreign Promotion of the Principality of Asturias); to CEEI (European Business and Innovation Centre of the Principality of Asturias) and SEKUENS Agency (Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness and Innovation Asturias). Its management and organisation have allowed 15 Asturian companies with a clear international focus and a great desire to “eat the world” to have their own space to enjoy an incredible networking space. For us it has also been a privilege to work side by side with all of them… it has been wonderful to know the talent that is managed in Asturias, really.

That’s really the reason for our participation: the Four Years From Now. This international meeting of start-ups and entrepreneurs was also celebrating its 1st anniversary and we certainly celebrated it in style. Meetings with clients, interesting talks with investors and consultants, presentations to students… talks and conferences and a long etcetera have made this trip a unique experience. These days have given us a lot and now it is time to keep working to take advantage of everything we have “sown”.

By the way, there were robots in our area too! 😀
